The Sun

The Sun in your natal chart represents the essence of your soul. When there are issues of ego or unresolved karma we are blocked from shining the truth of our own light. The truth that we are each a spark of the energy of God.
If your Sun is in an intercepted sign or house in your natal chart, it is very possible that you believe everyone is more important than you are. It was something you took on in order to be selfless but there has to be a balance. We incarnated here to be an expression of God. If we are living for or through others, we're missing  that mark .
The Sun is also a representation of your father. Poorly aspected it can show issues in that relationship and why and where that story began. Other aspects tell the story of why there is so much inner conflict or even a feeling that you can't quite get anything off the ground. 
The good news is that we are not doomed to live out what is shown in our natal charts. We can ask the Creator, the energy of Unconditional Love to change the energy and how the planets affect us through energy healing.
